Once registered with your existing gmail account it gives you an option to download the music uploader. Just download the music uploader application to your Windows, MAC or Linux computer and start uploading all your albums.
You can upload all your music from all your ripped music folders or your itunes collection. Uploading might take a while over your broadband connection but it's nice to know that you can gather all your music in one place.
20,000 free songs upload is a great thing (each song can be up to 250 MB per individual song)
Each uploaded song can now be streamed and played onto your computer browser (IE, Firefox etc.). I can now listen to my music at my home, office pc or laptop and don't need to depend on carrying around and synching my music on all separate devices.
An Android app is also available to listen to your collection while you're on the go. You can register up to 8 music devices for playback on your collection. However, simultaneous playback is limited to a single device and hopefully this will change when the service comes out of Beta.
You can also listen to your streaming music on your iPhone from the Safari browser on the phone. It works flawlessly over streaming over my slow EDGE GPRS network. Pretty good for a casual listener like myself.
You also get a lot of free music if you wish to add those to your collection.
